KAYA Instruments at the Collaborative Robots & Advanced Vision Conference, San Jose, CA, November 15, 2017

George Klein, Director of Global Sales and Marketing at KAYA Instruments, will have a speech at the Collaborative Robots & Advanced Vision Conference (CRAV), San Jose, CA, USA.

The speech will be held on November 15th 2017 between 10:00 AM – 10:30 AM in Doubletree by Hilton San Jose.

The title of the speech is Ultimate High-Speed Camera Solutions, The Future of Video Interfaces.

Some details of the speech:

Current vision interfaces have a variety of benefits but also several limitations. This presentation will look at the future of high-speed interfaces as related to vision, and in specific, optical fiber. The optical fiber interface almost has no limits. Why? The reason is simple. Optical fiber cables are very flexible, supporting transfers for very long distance (dozens of kilometers) and can be ruggedized. The bandwidth of optical fiber cables is extremely large. When using wavelength multiplexing technology, it’s possible to transfer more than 100Gbps over single fiber cable. Optical fiber cables are much cheaper than other cable types used today (e.g. fiber cable costs around 10% of the price of CXP cables and just 1% of the Camera Link cables). This is a proven and effective solution, especially because it is widely used in the telecommunications sector. Fiber interface supports sustain transfer rate of 40 Gbps and can be expanded up to 80 Gbps with aggregation. The logical utilization of the interface design is very small, taking into consideration the power consumption of the FPGA within camera.

This is an extraordinary opportunity to get acquainted with KAYA Instruments, who is a manufacturer of state-of-the-art products and developer of cutting edge solutions in the global Machine Vision and Broadcast industries. KAYA Instruments has extensive range of products, including Frame Grabbers, High-Speed cameras, Range Extenders, Camera Simulators, Mezzanine Cards and FPGA IP Core.
